Colby founded Fusion Promotional Marketing after 10 years of agency and media experience. He got it all started as a radio news anchor for a CNN affiliate in Denver. He headed west to Los Angeles and landed at Infinity Promotions Group, a division of CBS/Viacom, where he designed and executed packaged goods marketing platforms on a local, regional and national basis. He later found himself spearheading a packaged goods division for a Promo 100 agency where he continued his work and development in customer and brand marketing.
Colby always points out that he was privileged to work with most major studios and an abundance of CPG partners including P&G, Coca-Cola, Nestle, Kellogg’s, and Kraft in multiple capacities. These relationships formed the key ingredient for his true vision - Fusion.
Colby has a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from CSU. Outside of the office, he enjoys family, skiing, tennis, guitar, golf and mountain biking.
John Tobin has directed some of the most successful marketing campaigns ever implemented for products as varied as videos, paper towels, detergent, and concert tickets. Tobin’s marketing career has included radio, television, records, live entertainment and technology, which enables him to provide advertisers with strategic marketing solutions that drive sales. From traditional media such as outdoor, newspaper, television, and radio, to the newer medias of webcasting, social networking and mobile phone content, John has years of experience managing national, regional and local campaigns for dozens of major advertisers in over 100 markets in the USA and Canada. The ability to integrate marketing campaigns across multiple media formats in multiple markets is key to any agency. The ability to fulfill advertising, retail and promotional components are the services that differentiate Fusion Promotional Marketing.
Andrew Rangel received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drawing & Painting with a minor in Marketing from California State University, Long Beach. He also studied design at Wolverhampton University in Wolverhampton, England. He has over 9 years of experience as a graphic designer. Andrew worked with CBS Radio for 7 years as Senior Graphic Designer and Art Director where he re-branded several radio station logo identities and developed many ads, collateral, billboards, web banners, logos and vehicle wraps for various clients. He also created an award winning 100 foot mural in Downtown Los Angeles sponsored by Heineken to celebrate Hispanic culture in Los Angeles.
Karen Hill received her Bachelor of Arts in Communications, with an emphasis in Advertising at Cal State Fullerton. After college she worked for Cosmair European Designer Fragrances, the largest cosmetic company in the world, as a Market Coordinator where she was responsible for high volume retail stores in California. She created marketing programs and managed people at store level.
Karen then entered into radio sales, beginning her career with KLAX a Spanish radio station in the Los Angeles Market. She was with CBS Radio for 9 years in Los Angeles working at Talk Radio KLSX, top country station KFRG and the Infinity Promotions Group where she developed retail marketing campaigns for various clients. At KCBS Marketing, Karen focused on retail, consumer products and entertainment campaigns nationally and was promoted to the Strategic Marketing Manager for all 7 CBS radio stations in Los Angeles. Karen’s responsibilities included training CBS radio account executives in creating non-traditional business, managing multiple station sales incentives and extended KCBS Marketing’s involvement within CBS Broadcasting, creating marketing solutions for new and existing clients.
Karen joined Fusion Promotional Marketing as a partner in August 2006, bringing her expertise to the agency in the retail manufacturer industry and entertainment marketing. Karen resides in California with her husband and son.
Valeriya has over 7 years of project management experience for firms in Washington DC and Maryland. Most recently, she was an account executive at Hirshorn Zuckerman Design Group, where she led projects for high-profile hospitality and consumer product companies. She graduated from University of Maryland, College Park with a bachelor’s degree in Communications.
